Is Suprax Safe For Toddler Whose Stool Report Contains 10-12 Pus Cell And Trance Mucous?

Hi my baby is 5 month old, her eeight is 5.9 kg.since last 7 days she is having loose stool green in colour, her stool report said pus cell present 10-12 and trance mucous.My paediatrition prescribed suprax 100 doseg 2.5 ml, my baby is only in brestfeeding, so my question is suprax is safe for her?

Hi. Green stools are always indicative of intestinal infection. Your Pediatrician has correctly started the medicine Suprax and should solve the problem the baby is having. At the same time take a few ,extra precautions like cleaning the anal area of baby with lots of warm water and drying it with a clean cotton cloth to avoid rashes so common in this condition . also it is advisable to clean the nipple are with spirit or soap and water. See the baby is not putting something in mouth..
