Is Surgery Safe For Miss Formed Shoulder Bone?

I was born with a miss formed sholder in fact a bone is missing and one bone if it continuse to grow it will come out of my neck also when i whent to childrens hospital in columbas they said that out of thousands people they help every day i was the first the docter said that after i have a couple grouth sperts that i would be able to have a 3 hour surgury so my right sholder would be corected and fixed by removeing part of the thy bone to fix it and im only 12 almost 13 should i go though with it im just so confusd
