Is Swallowing A Part Of Toothpick Dangerous?

I am a very health female 55 yrs old that swallowed a section of toothpick(It had been cut up and left in food). Most likely a third of a pick,i felt it was lodged in my throat about a hour after, have eaten and swallowed ok but now 2 hours later not sure if it is still there. what do you think? I am thinking of givivng it another 12 hours and seeing how it feels.

Good day and thanks for your question. Swallowing a third of a tooth pick is not dangerous. Its likely not to be in your throat anymore, probably should be in your stomach. Like you said, lets give it 12 hours and see how it feels. You might eventually pass it out in your stool.
