Is Swelling Above The Spot Of Testosterone Shot Normal?
I get a testosterone shot in the buttock 3 days ago I used a 0.8 inch needle And I think it didn t got in to the muscle I have a bad swelling a little above the injection spot ( I think the oil migrated there . Will this go away? It s really painful and looks bad It is not red or hot
Testosterone injection in an oily base is an irritant and it has to be given by a deep intramuscular injection. If the drug is not injected deeply it will form a swelling around the site of injection. It will be painful for a few day but will get absorbed soon. Keep a watch on it to see if it becomes red or hot as these signs are indicative of active inflammation/ infection. You may take an anti inflammatory drug for pain relief.
