Is Swelling In The Anal Opening A Symptom Of A Hemorrhoid?
Hi i noticed after defacation it feels like there is something still there. I noticed this about four days ago and took a photi which showed the entrance of the anus had a swelling of some sort. Its painless and doesnt bother me but i feel its there. Its more prominent after defacation i think. Today i took another photo while opening the butt cheeks and seems to have gone down a bit. Almost as if one side has gone down but other side is bit swollen but still no pain or anything. I have had some hard stools but regular for the past 6 months due to an iron supplement im taking as part of preconception vitamin. For the past couple of weeks my diet has been poor. In the last couple of days ive tried to have more fibre and drink more water and switched to a vitamin with less iron and more absorbable iron. Is this a haemorrhoid or am i looking at a mild rectal prolapse? Will it go away on its own or do i need some intervention?
* As per the description, this fits with the clinical presentation of hemorrhoid. Should be confirmed by physical examination with a surgeon.
* Additional things to be taken in mind are - consumption of plenty of liquids - high fiber diet - avoid iron at present - sitz bath regularly - bulk forming laxative use freely
* Hemorrhoids remain under control till you keep the bowel movements smooth, they do not go away on its own. Later on if bothersome, intervention may be needed.
Wish you fine health. Regards.
