Is Taking LPV 500 Penicillin Safe While Having Asthma?
Hello. I have been given LPV 500 Penicillin VK Capsules. My Dr said I have tonsillitis. Two Questions. I have just read that if I have Asthma I need to be careful taking these tablets? Can you gave me some further information on this. Also I am in a wedding tomorrow and was wondering if Alcohol effects me with these tablets?
Antibiotics are commonly used in persons with a history of asthma.
If you have a history of allergy to this medication then it is possible that it can cause an acute asthmatic attack. If no have no history of problems with this type of medication then you can use it.
There are no specific interactions with alcohol and penicillin but it is normally advised that alcohol use be limited when using antibiotics.
I hope this helps
