Hello and welcome, I understand the concern for the baby. Orofer XT will not cause any harm to your baby. It will help by improving your hemoglobin and increase oxygen supply to the baby helping in its growth. So please take the tablets. Also other measures to follow in case of anemia are a diet rich in iron mainly of carrots, beet, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits like apples, melons and meat or egg 2 servings. This will provide for the iron as well as protein for building the hemoglobin. In addition use of vitamin B12 and folic acid are also usually needed as they are also important in building hemoglobin. Worm infestations may also cause anemia so it is a standard practice in out part to prescribe a deworming agent like albendazole single dose to take care of this.
