Is Taking Antibiotic Enough For Inflamed And Sensitive Urethral Opening?
Approximately three weeks ago I contracted a uti. I was given Macrobid and the symptoms subsided. However, I had a feeling it was not completely cured. Five days ago, I started having sinus pain and typical common cold symptoms and my uti symptoms worsened substantially. I went to the doctor yesterday and I was given Cipro. Though I am not having pain when urinating, I have noticed my urethral opening is inflammed and sensitive to the touch. Just wondering if I should be more concerned or keep taking the antibiotics and wait?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have urinary tract infection with upper respiratory tract infection. Right now taking a caourse of antibiotics is enough. But you should take some higher antibiotics like levofloxacin. Drink plenty of water. No need to worry. It will be cured. If you have repeated infection then you should check yoir blood sugar also to rule out diabetes. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
