i am 30 yrs.old and is planning a family (for first time), i am non diabetic, having regular periods after from last two months-last months i had period in 21days and this time it was mere spotting, today my doc has diagnosed me with polycyst in my left ovary and has advised me to take dimet 850mg. is this safe to take this medicine?
If you are diagnosed with Polycystic ovaries, and you are overweight, taking diner 850 mg would in fact help you by decreasing the insulin resistance and also help reduce weight, which in turn, would help regularize your periods by improving ovulation rates. Thus, no harm in taking Dimet. Take it regularly and go ahead with planning your pregnancy, if required with assistance.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
