Is Taking Liothyroxine With The Armour, safe?

I have been taking armour and I was also prescribed to take liothyroxine with the armour 2 x s a day. Is that a safe?? It has caused my T3 to be extremely high and my right arm, thigh and calf and hip hurts. Is that a side effect. I have stopped taking liothyroxine yesterday and only taking armour.

hi, thanks for approaching healthcare magic. Armour tablet is a potent/ strong form of levothyroxine. you are probably prescribed with levothyroxine because you have not responded adequately to Armour alone. this is quite common. people are prescribed with upto 4 tablets of levothyroxine depending on the response. this response is titrated with your TSH and not T3. myalgias are due to inadequate thyroxine and not because of excess. thanks and please get back for further queries .
