Is Taking Sildenafil And Lanoxin For Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension And Ostium Secundum Atrial Septal Defect Sufficient?
Hi My mother is suffering from pulmonary arterial hypertension. She has an ASD OS type and in 57 yrs old. From the last seven months Dr s are giving her sildenafil 25 mg twice a day, bosentan 62.5 mg twice a day, lanoxin 0.125mg once a day 5 days a week and rosovas 10 mg one in a day. the were also giving her amirfu 40 every day. during the last visit 15 days ago they have discontinued amirfu 40 rest ae the same. Now her legs have started swelling lately. Can discontinuing Amirfu 40 is a probable cause ?

It is the cause for swelling of legs, amifru is a diuretic and cause increased urination, it can cause excretion of sodium and potassium. If you discontinue the drug it will cause swelling of legs.
Swelling of limbs can also occur if there is increased blood pressure.
Please check the blood pressure..
