My son just called me and said that my grandson who is 17 yrs old has a tear inhis stomach lining and there is blood in his stool my son said this dr said they can do surgery on him which they would tear it more then this dr said the body will heal itself is this true?? sounds like something from the middle ages

I will advise to start antacids [proton pump inhibitors like] rabeprazole 20 mg twice a day. Sucralfate will protect gastric mucosa and will give protective covering.
