Is The MTP Kit Safe To Use During Pregnancy?

Hello Dr., i am 27 years age and my first baby birth taken place before 10-11 months through ceserian (c-section) , now i again pregnant which is 30-40 days. from my last period. i want to use MTP kit of cipla. how is it safe for me and how it should be taken and when.

MTP kit is to be used only if you do not want to continue your pregnancy. Use of this kit is also called Medical abortion.
This kit causes the abortion by some oral and some vaginal tablets. The abortion by this method is safe till 9 weeks of pregnancy.
However, these medicines should not be taken as over the counter medicines and should not be consumed without doctors advice.
The medicines are prescribed by the obstetrician only after confirming the pregnancy and its duration. Then the medicines are to be taken only under the expert supervision of Obstetrician. Though you are told to take the medicines at home also, you have to report to the obstetrician as per the instructions. The risk of heavy bleeding due to incomplete abortion should be kept in mind.
In short, if the pregnancy is unwanted, MTP kit can be used up to 9 weeks of pregnancy but ONLY ON OBSTETRICIANS ADVICE AND UNDER HIS/HER SUPERVISION.
