Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...
I called into my doctor's office for my most recent blood work results and they told me my TSH level was 109. Does this sounds right? I've been tired and have had low BP
The TSH level you reported is very high and can not be considered safe. You should start treatment as soon as possible. An endocrinologist will typically recommend levothyroxine. This is a prescription medication that is the scientifically sound way to replace the deficient hormone in the human body. Please consult your endocrinologist for a prescription for the same.
The ideal dose varies from person to person and a blood test for TSH in a laboratory is extremely useful in determining the appropriate dose.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
