Is The Cramping Due To Low Lying Placenta During Pregnancy?
Hi. I am 20+6 weeks pregnant and had my 20 week scan today. I have a low lying anterior placenta and am experiencing a little bit of cramping. I have just lost a blob of greenish mucus. This is my second baby. Should I be concerned? I have also experienced two episodes in the last 3 weeks of very painful contractions that lasted a couple of hours. My midwife told me to relax and take a bath. They calmed down after I did this. this is about the third time now I have lost a blob of mucus.
Greenish mucus could be an indication of infection and the warm bath could have helped because a warm bath helps by providing temporary relief from inflammation which is common with infections. Please visit your doctor for a urine analysis and physical examination or write to me using our premium service.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
