Hello.
There are many causes of delayed or irregular periods, and a possibility of a pregnancy must be ruled out, especially if her periods have been regular in the past.
Ask her to wait for a 4-5 days and then take the home pregnancy test, preferably with a morning urine sample.
She can also go for an ultrasound about 10-15 days after the missed period.
If the test is negative, you may consult your doctor, to see if detailed tests are required. Sometimes stress and anxiety can also cause delayed periods.
Hope this is helpful.
All the best.
