Is The Infection Of The Spleen And COPD Treatable In The Child Suffering With Cardiomyopathy Enlargement?
hello, Thanks. my 12 year old Son has Cardiomyopathy enlarged Heart Disease. the other day he was told he has Infection of The Speen & COPD. Is this treatable? is this a sign of Heart failure? Also I readed about Hairy cell leukomia HCL symptoms. This can also be a sign of Heart failure?
Hi, Sorry to hear about the sufferings of your son. Yes, there is an association of heart failure with other systemic diseases. Infection of spleen, lungs or any part, or COPD precipitate Heart failure, by putting an extra workload on already tired heart (suffering from Cardiomyopathies). But its for sure heart failure doesnt directly cause infection. Heart failure is presented with difficulty of breathing, which is oftenly mistaken with acute exacerbation of COPD.
Regarding Hairy cell carcinoma, its rarely related, but it increases workload on heart too, just as all other diseases.
