my question is /my husband is terminal from working at NUCLEAR PLANT ALL OVER U.S. HE IS NOW BEDRIDDIEN(He s on hospice & in a lot of pain they have him on dilaudid 4mg//morphine/zanax 2mg is the dilaudid 4mg to much or dangerous for him??Thanks Linda Kaye Boykin
Thank you for posting your query. I am sorry to know of your husband's condition and appreciate your concern for him. The usual starting dose for DILAUDID tablets is 2 mg to 4 mg, orally, every 4 to 6 hours. Appropriate use of the DILAUDID TABLETS must be decided by careful evaluation of each clinical situation. Don't worry, the healthcare workers are trying to make your husband's life as comfortable and pain free as possible. They would also be considering the interaction between the medicines he is on. Best wishes,
