My husband likes to fly model jets that use kerosene as fuel. He stores the jets in our garage and keeps the kerosene oil in the containers provided for them But the smell is still strong. Does the smell alone (he does not burn them inside the garage nor turn on the jets inside the garage) harmful to our health?
Thanks for your question on HCM. Since you have mentioned clearly and specifically that only smell and no fumes or dust, than only smell will not harmful to health. But, yes, vapours and fumes when inhale for long duration and repeatedly can cause trouble in the form of inhalant induced bronchitis. But only smell is not injurious to health.
