Is The Numbness Around The Wound On The Head Normal?

A bullet grazed my head, then immediately following a car accident where my face slammed & was imprinted into the windshield. Now instantly around the wound on my head it felt numb. At the hospital i was given 18 staples . & my head was numb for most of it . It has been two weeks the staples were taken out 3 days, & my head is still numb around the wound, which is almost completely healed. Is that normal?

It is absolutely normal. No need to worry.Nerve regeneration arround the wound area will take time .This may take even a year to regain complete sensations.
