Is The Pain Coming From The Enlarged Prostate On My Bladder?
I am male, 67 years old. I have recently had a scan and found out that my prostate is showing PROSTATOMEGALY, and as the prostate is enlarged it is pushing my bladder. I have been getting a mild pain on the right hand side of the lower abdomen for 2 or 3 years, a bearable pain but concerning. Could this pain be coming from the enlarged prostate pushing on the bladder ?
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have enlarged prostate. Pain may be due to that or it may be due to some infection. You should go for serum PSA level and if it is high you should go for prostate biopsy to rule out prostatic carcinoma. Most of the cased are due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. Drugs like tamsulosin or prazocin and finasteride are helpful. Go for investiagation and start treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
