Hello,

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

You are right when you think an underactive thyroid as a cause of your symptoms. Weight gain is a common symptom of hypothyroidism.

It is worthy to exclude a thyroid pathology by doing some hormonal examinations such as: TSH,FT4 and FT3.

The acid reflux may be due to you over weight.

I would like to know also your age.

After the hormonal results I am opened to give you further information regarding your concern.

Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
