I've been on the Z pack for five days now after having acute bronchitis. I noticed today I am coughing a little more and it feels as though I have phlegm and a loose cough in my chest. Does this mean my bronchitis is getting better. Nothing hurts. Just the cough accompanied with a lot of loose phlegm. Am I getting better?
Hi, In lower respiratory tract infection after infection subsides, productive cough will remain for some time to clear. As you have completed full antibiotic medicine course, nothing to worry. Take some cough expectorant to get symptomatic relief. Go for deep breathing exercises. Ok and take care.
