Is There A Alternative Medication For Pregalin For A Patient Undergoing Liver Transplant?

patient has cone under liver transplant, she has BP 156/95 , she was taking amlopras 5 mg, now one doctoradvised for Betaloc 150 mg BD instead of amlopras and other doctor advised to take prgallin 75 mg BD. from prgalin she is sleeping since morning. what should I do should I stop taking pregalin.

Yes Pregbilin can cause sedation. You are very right , we generally advise patients to start very low dose , like the one time first day. Then increase every two days to optimum dose that work for you. This may help, if still problem persists then you can talk to your doctor regarding stopping the drug.
