Is There A Chance Of Pregnancy While Having Delayed Period And Taking Meprate For The Same?

Hi doctor... Am 21 yrs old... Am on meprate 10 mg for 5 days to treat irregular periods as prescribed by doctor if i don t get period for more than 45day...i have pcos...had unprotected sex once on 4th day of tablet... Will there be chances to be pregnant?

Hi,

Meprate is hormone progestin preparation. In small doses, it helps in favor of pregnancy. If there is no pregnancy, it would induce periods. In my view, you should wait for its results till 10 more days. If no periods, get pregnancy test done and consult your gynecologist with the report.
