Is There A Correlation Between Losing One's Voice And Hashimoto's Disease?

Hello! I am 24 years old female professional singer. I am going thorugh this hoarse voice problems very frequently after singing the previous night. I dont think it s about nodes on my vocal chords. Now I also have Hashimoto ... Is there any link between the losing of voice and Hashimoto. Do you know some tricks to prevent losing voice,or any medicaments that can help me. For instance Calcium Gluconicum and Vit. C help a lot ,but sometimes it;s not enough! Thank you very much in advance!

Hello,

There is no trick in medical science. You have to do a stroboscopy test to assess your voice. You need speech therapy and strict vocal hygiene.

Avoid singing now. Do a thyroid function test and specific antibody test. Consult an endocrinologist for this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Rajat Basak
