Is There A Test To Tell Positively About Psoriatic Arthritis?
i have various rheumatology problems, allergies, joints problems. who is best rheumatologist around? My present Rhematologist has added psoriatic arthritis to my other rx and wants to start more drastic rx, I would like to get a second opinion. Is there a test to tell positively if i have psoriatic arthritis. Humira did nothing to help my pain and the only skin problem is with some of my toes nails and my finger nail
Hi For confirmation of psochriatic arthritis there are few x ray findings like distal interphalengial joint involvement fingers. Dissolution of terminal phalangeal tuft on xray (shortening of digit). Among lab investigation esr crp are elevated. Hla-b27 is found positive. Anemia is common. And has typical skin condition. But you still need to see orthopaedic to get it diagnosed. As there are few certain criteria to get it diagnosed. There is not a single test from which it can be diagnosed. Get well soon. Thank you.
