Hello dear...
Vitiligo cannot be completely cured.
But certainly it can be controlled.
Depending upon the area of the body involved, there are various modalities of treatment.
You need to meet a Dermatologist for exact treatment.
Vitiligo cannot be considered a disability as it remains localized to skin.
The only problem is cosmetic appearance.
Kindly meet a Dermatologist soon to arrest its progression.
Thanks & take care.
Hi ,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for writing in.
Vitiligo is a autoimmune disease with long treatment periods.
Pulse therapy with steroids and phototherapy with NBUVB is most effective.
Many effective treatments are now available for treatment of vitiligo.
Consult a qualified dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Hope this helps.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
