Is There A Treatment To Prevent Sudden Falls And Injuries From Vertigo And Ringing In The Ear?

Hi, my mother have vertigo and ringing in ear. Over the years, It have increased to an extent of her falling instantaneously and then being okay immediately. We have shown to doctors and had tests which proves that it ain t related to heart and brain. One of the ENTs, we referred to previously said that it will be like this only. Is there any treatment to prevent such drops, and prevent any following injury from such sudden falls?

Hi,

Yes, there are medications like Betahistine that reduce the severity of giddiness one gets in vertigo. You can consult a ENT specialist who can prescribe the same.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
