Hi, my mother is 87 years old, she has had a hysterectomy. she had back surgery and has nerve damage so has no control over her bladder or bowel movements. She cannot use a pessary because of the nerve damage, is there an alternative to pessaries?
Why they have inserted the pessary?? If urine not passing means we may use Foley's catheterization for urine passing. May be medical pessary they might have inserted to control infection.
So please consult your physician/urologist they will insert Catherine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
