Is There Any Ayurvedic Oil/gel To Reduce The Hip Pain During Pregnancy?
Hi Doctor,
My sister is 5 and a half months pregnant and she started feeling a sudden pain in her right hip yesterday night.
The pain is immense and she is not able to reach her doctor right now.
I read somewhere that the Ayurvedic oil/gel called Myostaal can be safely used in such a situation to supress the pain till the time she reaches her doctor for the detailed checkup. Is that true ?
** 1. during the second and third trimester, baby's head [growing uterus] may rest heavily on the sciatic nerve in the lower part of the spinal canal causing pelvic pain or sciatica like symptoms. PS. It's usually not a cause for concern, though you should tell your healthcare provider about it during your next prenatal visit.
2. When sciatica or hip pain strikes, try using a heating pad or sitting in a warm tub. Hip pain may be eased by gentle stretches. PS. consider wearing an iliac brace, or pregnancy belt, to support your back and midsection.
3. hip pain due to pregnancy won’t last forever — for most women it will go away once the baby is born.
4. since myostaal oil/gel is to be applied externally thus can be used safely.
