Is There Any Advise For A Small, Painless Lump Behind The Ear?

For years, I get intermittent pain the shoots behind my ear into my eye, lasting about 4 days. About a month ago while this was happening, I noticed a small painless lump behind my war. Went to the dr who shrugged and said its probably nothing. No tests or anything. Should I seek a second opInion or is this normal?

Hi,

The lump if its smaller and not growing, non tender then you shouldn't worry about it. Your pain in ear which radiates to your ear is probably not related to the lump.your ear pain can be due to cold, dental problems, trauma, folliculitis (infection). If the lump grows in size I suggest you to get it examined thoroughly. You will be absolutely fine.

Hope this helps you. Let me know if can assist you further.

Best regards,
Dr. Suhas Chauhan
