Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father had heart attack 6 days back. Angiography report shows 4 clots in which 2 are 100 and 99%. The heart is affected by 30% supply only. No history of diabetic/ blood perssure etc. Now patient is stable(BP and pulse normal) I am reluctant to proceed with bypass surgery . Therfore, any alternative to this?
Sorry to hear about your dad but the blockages sound bad. I am 60 and have had a double by pass because of blockages like this. I know there are risk factors but I feel great now. Remember the reason he would have had the attack is because of the blockages. The operation is quite common now and if it gives your dad a chance at life what choice do you really have. Hope things go well for you.
