Is There Any Interaction Of Taking Cipro Along With Leflunomide And Prednisone?
I am taking a three day course of cipro; I am on 500 mg., twice daily. . I am also taking leflunomide, 10 mg, and prednisone, 2.5 mg. for rheumatoid arthritis. the rheumatologist prescribed the cipro for an ongoing UTI. Are there any interactions other than the possible tenden problem that I should be aware of?
I have gone through your query. I am glad that you are aware of tendon problem due to interaction between Ciprofloxacin and prednisolone. But you need to know that Leflunomide and prednisolone taken together lead to increase chance of infection. Consult you doctor if you develop signs and symptoms of infection such as fever, chills, diarrhea, sore throat, muscle aches, shortness of breath, blood in phlegm, weight loss, red or inflamed skin, body sores, and pain or burning during urination.
Hope I have answered you. You can contact me on my page http://bit.ly/DrGaurav Wish you a good health. Regards
