Is There Any Possibility Of Pregnancy As I Am Having Missed Periods, Bloating And Cramping?
Mi period was one week late last month and I spotted on and off before and after that. Then this month I didn't get mi period. I'm on birth control but don't take it like I should. I feel bloated and cramp like I'm on my period but no bleeding and my lower stomach area is twitching. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative. Do you know what this could be?
Hi, Welcome to HCM Birth control pills should be taken exactly as it is recommended. These are hormonal pills. If it is not taken properly, it may cause any menstrual irregularity, spotting, delayed period etc. It will not protect you from pregnancy also. You may repeat your pregnancy test again after one week. You must use an additional contraceptives ( best is male condom), until you see your next normal period. If you do not like to take oral contraceptive pills, or any side effects from it, it is better you and your husband see the Doctor and discuss other contraceptive options available, and choose the one which is best suited to you. Take care. Dr H Hamdani
