Is There Any Possibility Of Pregnancy?

Hi, my last period was started on 28 th november and it was over on 4 th december i had sex on 4th decmeber and i tooK unwanted 72 with in 12 hrs of sex. On 7th december again i started bleeding which last till 12 decmeber..Now i supposed to get my periods on 28th december but it already 7 january i still not got my period..wheather its effect of pill only as i am worried for preganacy? please reply me asap.

Hi,

According to your history:
- The possibility of pregnancy is less in your case, as you had intercourse on 7th day of menstrual cycle, usually in regular 28 to 30 days menstrual cycles, ovulation is not expected during this period. You took emergency pill within 12 hours of intercourse.

The bleeding you got on 7th December could be due to withdrawal effect of the hormones in emergency pill. As you got bleeding on 7th December, now you have to count your cycle from that. According to this, your expected menstrual period is on January 7th. Few days of fluctuation can be seen in menstrual periods especially when there is history of hormonal pill intake.

So, you can wait for one more week and possibly by that time you can get your periods. If you do not get by that time, please go for urine pregnancy test once, if gives negative result, you can wait for one more week. Even after that if you do not get periods, then take tablets for withdrawal bleeding with your doctor's advice.
