Is There Any Possibility Of Sight Regain If There Is Glaucoma?
Dear Sir, My grandfather has glucoma and he lost his sight in both eyes. He is 86yrs old. Is there any possibility that he can regain his sight through a surgery? He has been told that his nerves are very weak and he cannot go through a surgery couple of months back. He now lost his eye sight completely.
Unfortunately nerves once damaged cannot be regenerated. There are experimental treatments like stem celltransplantation for disease in this stage, they are still under study and expensive.
Visual rehabilitation will help him to some extent for household ambulation.
