Is There Any Problem For Having Unprotected Sex Without The Third Shot Of Depo Provera?

So I'm on the depo prevera shot, and I was supposed to take my third shot today, but my doctor's office closed early and I wont be able to get it till Monday, but, last night I had unprotected sex and my period ended two days ago. Should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you had your period 2 days ago, it would be highly unlikely that you will get pregnant. However, please use other methods of contraception for at least 2 weeks after getting Provera shot to avoid pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
