Is There Any Prognosis For Severe Chf-EF Less Than 20% ?
do you have any prognosis on an 80 year old with severe chf-EF less than 20%, mitral and aortic valve damage, pulmonary hypertension the whole thing. History of IDDM, asthma, hyposthyroidism. liver disease. Recently so weak she cant roll over in bed or feed herself- states she's too weak to chew and over 30 ob weight loss.Thanks.

short answer : prognosis is poor detailed answer: Three year survival is low when ejection fraction is very low. However, once the ejection fraction is as she has other problems like pulmonary hypertension IDDM,hypothyroidism, liver disease the prognosis is very poor
