Is There Any Relation Between Thalassemia And Nose Bleeds?
My (Asian) husband has been diagnoed w/thalassemia minor by a hemotologist. Although his hemoglobin runs low (9's) and platelets high he has recently begun have frequent nose bleeds. Is there any evidence that Thalassemia patients are also "bleeders"?

There is no relation between thalassemia and increased bleeding.
Thalassemia is a hemoglobin disorder and excessive bleeding is due to platelet disorders.
Thus, both these conditions are not related to each other and their management differs.
Consult your hematologist for clinical assessment and thus treatment.
