Allergist and Immunologist 's  Response
Hello.

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and I think you are having allergic asthma. I would like to suggest you as follows:

1. Montemec plus is a controlled medicine for allergic asthma. If you are able to remain symptom free by using it daily, I would suggest you to continue it for at least 3 months continuously.

2. I would suggest you to consult an Allergist-Immunologist who will suggest you allergy testing. This will help you identify substances causing symptoms to you as well as precautions regarding how to avoid them. Also, an Allergist may suggest you specific allergen immunotherapy depending upon the results of allergy testing, which may improve your allergy symptoms.

3. Please try to avoid exposure to smoke, dusts and air pollution as much as possible. Also please do not smoke if you are a smoker.

4. A nutritive diet rich in vitamins & minerals including anti-oxidants is very important to support immune system.

5. I would also suggest you regular breathing exercises which help you in a long run.

6. Regarding nebulizer, personally I would not recommend it beyond childhood, especially for young adults and middle-aged adults. In my opinion, metered dose inhalers (MDI) with or without spacer as well as dry powder inhalers (DPI) are better options than nebulizer for you.

Hope this will be helpful to you.

Wish you the best of the health.

Should you have any other queries, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Regards.
