Is There Any Side Effect For Pantocid 40 Mg?

My mother of 92 year age is suffering from ulcer in stomach and she is regularly taking pantecid 40 mg before breakfast and taking digene spy two spoons after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Is there any side effect and how long these med. required to continue . She has started these med for the last 15 days. She is having a problem of frequent urination every half an hour and no control of stool in the night. Pl advice. Thanks

Your mother is 92 years old .
She is taking pantocid i.e. pantaprazole is a proton pump inhibitors and used for the hyper acidity or gastritis or gas formation or peptic ulcer disease.
Digene is a combination of magnesium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxie, simethicon and Na carbxoymethypceelulose.
The side effects of pantocid is very common and minor but it produces DIARRHEA , dizziness , icching , flatulence, URINARY FREQUENCY , U T I rhinitis and others .
So your mother may have these symptoms ( diarrhea frequent urine ) due to the side effects of pantacid.
Consult your doctor and get his help.
