Is There Any Side Effect Of Taking Overdose Of Amoxycillin?

I accidentally took two 500mg pills of amoxicillin within two hours of eachother, when I m supposed to take 3 pills spaced out over the whole day. Is that something I should worry about? I m 21, 5 10 , 150lbs, and was prescribed the amoxicillin four days ago to treat a strep throat infection.

Hi thanks for asking question.
Amoxycillin taken three times a day for sore throat with 6 to 8 hour gap.
You have taken 2 tablets at one time.Mostly it will not lead to severe side effects.
If you feel nausea and diarrhea then take domperidone and omeprazole for that.
Amoxycillin can lead to headache,muscle pain, skin rash,dizziness or bleeding gum etc.According to side effect it can be treated.
If headache and muscular pain then simple analgesic can be taken.
So dont worry and complete 5 day course of antibiotic to kill streptococci and relief from sore throat.
