Is There Any Side Effect Of Taking Unwanted 72 During Periods?
i had a sex yesterday near about 5 pm in the evening and both us don;t take any precautions i am not sure about whether sperms lend itno my uterus or not but i take unwanted 72 pill after 12 hours so is there any side effects of this pill on periods............

Unwanted 72 pill is used as an emergency contraceptive pill to prevent unwanted pregnancy in case of unprotected sex or contraception failure. This tablet contains levonorgestrel as an active ingredient. When the active ingredient gets into the blood stream, it blocks the formation of hormones like luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). These hormones are responsible for the development and release of eggs from the ovaries. As the name suggests, it should be taken as soon as possible, preferably withing 72 hours of unprotected sex. Since the Unwanted 72 pill works by introducing levonorgestrel hormone into your system, it can affect your menstrual cycle. After taking emergency contraceptive like Unwanted 72, it is normal for your period to be a little later or earlier than usual. Again, some women may have lighter bleeding. If you don't get your period within 3-4 weeks of taking the Unwanted 72 pill, take a pregnancy test.
