Hello,

DT (diphtheria, tetanus) and polio vaccines are generally given routine in children and then every certain number of years in adults to provide protection against these infections.
Polio can be taken orally, 2 oral drops. This is a live vaccine and poses higher risk for side effects compared to the injectable form.
Some countries do not even have oral polio due to its side effects.

DT, unfortunately, is only in the injection form. So, if you need protection against these infections, the injection is the only way to have it.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
