Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
it's about gym. I used to go to gym 5-6 days a week, do some workouts(not very intense) and i found it quite healthy. but my fellows in university says that "going to gym will not be good later in our life, specially when you get married, your muscles would be like hanging pieces of meat after you get old". please tell me something about their opinion. whether i should continue gym or not? are there any disadvantages of gym????
Proper workout surely will not cause any bad effects rather it will help you to be fit and prevent the other illnesses such as high BP, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes etc. It is definitely good to have proper workout. The problem occur not when the people perform the workout but rather when they LEAVE the gym/workout as this may lead to weight gain & obesity. ( See Film stars) So it is always advisable to have the moderate workout which can be continued even after the marriage & even in the busy life schedule. It will definitely not going to harm you rather it will make you fit & reduce the chances of development of N no of diseases. The exercises should include aerobics etc rather that only lifting heavy weights. My opinion to gym performers is that , IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO HAVE POWERFUL LUNGS & HEART THAN HAVING TOUGH BICEPS & TRICEPS.
