Hello,
Your question is a very good one. After exercise, most of your immediate energy stores,
glycogen, are depleted and your body is in a state of energy storage restoration. The
Cobadex is a great idea, the Vitamin B6, B9, and B12 especially. Unfortunately, there is not much really to restore your energy level faster. I would suggest that it may be beneficial to have some baseline blood work checked (
Thyroid panel, CBC, Electrolytes) just to be sure that there is nothing physiologic preventing you from restoring your energy level faster.
Some people have used caffeine after exercise and while it may in the short term provide some additional energy reserve, in the long term you simply are more 'drained', plus that is not recommended due to adverse cardiac effects. I have advised my own patients to make sure they remain very well hydrated before and after exercise, vitamin B supplementation is a great idea, but otherwise there is not much additionally to do.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
