Is There Any Treatment Methods Or Surgery Available To Cure Ulcers Caused Due To Filariasis In A 70-year-old?
My father is having filaria for one leg for the past 30 years. Now the size of the leg swelled too much. Now the skin of the leg has getting some type of ulcers and water is getting leaked from it. He is nearly 70 years. He is able to walk now. He is mild diabitic

Hello,
He may be suffering from lymphangitis with ulcers, it may be treated with foot end elevation with the use of antibiotics like Amoxiclav with Diethyl Carbamazepine is useful for 2-3 weeks. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
