Is There Any Way To Get The Calcified Barium Out From The Lungs?

Hello and thank you for taking time to answer my question. My question is regarding the likely/possible health issues following barium in the lungs. My grandmother had occasion for a barium swallow test and it was not administered well at all. She got a good amount of barium in her lungs, it calcified and she developed pneumonia. We are not able to get her primary care physician to take this situation seriously. It has been four months at this point. Now that the barium has calcified is there any way to get it out of her lungs (and no her body did not get rid of it on her own) and what other health concerns should we be on the look out for as her primary care givers? Thank you again for your time and help.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
What ever you are saying is not such thing that can be taken seriously, while performing barium test the barium goes inside the stomach and not in the lungs, barium is thick liquid just think about this if it goes in the lungs then what would happened, more over this is not the volatile substance that may escape in to the lung later on like it happens in alcohol, so you are under the wrong impression, I agree that patient may be having calcified lesion in lung but would not be due to barium, you have to rule out the other possibilities, I hope that you must have understand this, bye
