Is There Any Way To Prevent Chest Pain After Running?

After running a mile fast my chest hurts and my throat feels like it s closing up. Also I taste blood, but I don t cough any up. The temperature was in high 60s so it was fairly cold. Is there anyway I can prevent what is happening? And what is even happening?

Hello
Thanks for the query to HCM Forum.
After race ( running ) chest pain is very common and mind it this is not due to any disease ( exception is there ) .
Usually lack of stamina is main reason behind these things in a normal person .
So whenever you feel chest pain , stop a while take rest till relief , then again start running and in this way after vigorous exercise ( at least it will take 3-4 months depending upon the age and dedication ) .
High protein diet also help.
Good luck
